About Manó

Marietta (Manó is her nickname) is a multifaceted bioartist. With a background in art and a passion for sustainable living, she has honed her skills as a chef, organic gardener, and beekeeper. After honing her culinary skills as a sous chef in two highly acclaimed restaurants in Bristol, UK, she specialized in creating delicious and nutritious vegetarian and vegan cuisine. It was during this time that she also delved into the world of fermentation, experimenting with her own homemade kombucha blends.

In 2019, she had the opportunity to immerse herself in the world of organic farming through WWOOFing in Tenerife. This experience only deepened her commitment to sustainable living and solidified her desire to make a positive impact on the world. In 2021, she added beekeeping to her list of certifications, further broadening her knowledge and experience in working with nature.

It was during a difficult period of her life that she began her current venture - creating unique and beautiful home decor pieces using sustainable, recycled materials and her own unique fermentation techniques. Each piece takes up to 3 weeks to complete, as she allows the natural processes to unfold at their own pace. Despite the long and sometimes unpredictable process, she finds great joy and fulfillment in every step of creation.

We invite you to discover and appreciate the beauty of her creations, made with love and a deep respect for the earth.
